Saugus is a town in Essex County, Massachusetts, within the Greater Boston area. Its population was 28,619 at the 2020 census. It is known for being the site of the first integrated iron works in North America. The town is well-known for being the location of the Saugus Iron Works.

Baker first appears in the town records of Lynn in 1638. His marriage to Joan and the birth of their first child resulted in him becoming a father. The two went on to have seven more children.
