The Cape Ann Museum is also creating a video art installation, COVID-19 Memorial. A partnership with LuminArtz, this installation is part of a larger exhibition, and the livestream will serve as the museum’s opening ceremony and vigil for those who were killed. This installation will remain in place outside on the CAM Green and will be open to the public for the next two weeks. It is intended to inspire visitors to think differently about their own lives and the importance of their community’s history.

This exhibition explores the relationship between Cape Ann, Massachusetts, and the island of Monhegan, Maine. The exhibit, which is co-organized by the Cape Ann Museum, the Monhegan Museum, and the Rockport Art Association, will be on display from October 23 to January 16, 2022. A 64-page illustrated catalogue is planned to accompany the exhibition. Contributions will include those by James F. O. Oaks, Oliver Barker, and Margaret Patterson. The catalogue will cost $20.
