LAWRENCE NEIGHBORHOOD TOUR

Lawrence, Massachusetts is a delightful town full of New England charm. It spans just 7 miles and runs along both sides of the Merrimack River in the state’s Essex County. It’s relatively small with just under 90,000 people living in the city’s borders, but it contains everything that residents could need or want and is a fantastic place to live. Another great place to visit.

Lawrence is full of history and greenery. It’s a great place for families and those with dogs to live because there are so many parks to explore and play in. These include Campagnone, O’Neill, Shawsheen, and Ferrous Parks, among many others. Along the river itself are also Pemberton Park and Riverfront State Park, both of which offer wide spaces and beautiful views. Find out more.

There are tons of great restaurants around, as well as lots of shopping opportunities, in both the parts of Lawrence that are north and south of the Merrimack River. This means that no matter which side of town you live on, you’ll be able to conveniently get groceries and run errands, or just have a nice meal out somewhere.

There are also several significant attractions and sites to see. The Great Stone Dam, the Old Public Library (which was built in 1872), Lawrence History Center and Bellevue Cemetary are all worth visiting if you’re in the area. There’s a lot to do in such a small town, and that’s part of what makes Lawrence such a great place for residents and travelers alike!
